JS 256 - Scallop rubber stamps.
Joanna Sheen commissioned me to design these stamps for use on parchment and for general stamping purposes. The more you play, the more wonderful they are.
Using Unmounted Rubber Stamps.
You will need acrylic blocks in order to use the rubber stamps. These are available on Joanna Sheen's website. You can use a glue stick and scribble some glue onto the back of the stamp you want to use and stick on the acrylic block. Once you have finished using the stamp, peel it off the block and using a baby wipe, clean the glue from both the back of the stamp and the block.
However, the newest method for sticking the stamps to the blocks is EZ Mount Foam which is also available on Joanna Sheen's website. You peel off the backing and stick the rubber stamp sheet, or individual stamp, and then cut around the images or images, then simply peel off the protective paper on the other side of the EZ Mount Foam which is a material that clings to the acrylic block without the need for a glue stick and you are now ready to stamp - so less mess and great quality stamping. Adding the foam gives you a far better and more detailed stamped image which is essential in parchment craft.
